L D College of Engineering is one of the oldest engineering institutes in the country and is a leading prominent education institute celebrating its 75thAnniversary. The institute has a glorious history and has been instrumental in developing the brilliant students over the past 75 years who have been contributing to the progress and growth of the country and many of them have been doing this across the globe.
While the institute is celebrating its 75th anniversary, a group of Alumni ( including Darshan M Shah, Vrajesh K Shah Mehul J Shah, Mehul M Shah, Parag Shah) led by Darshan Shah has decided to volunteer in offering their gratitude to the institute in an innovative way. This group met the Professors and Head Of the Department of the institute and understood the challenges they have been facing. This group of Alumni having worked in the industry for the past thirty years have used their network and identify an agency to bring up the condition of these Lab Equipments and Machines. They did not limit this to just the repair & / or refurbishment but also went one step ahead and got the Annual Maintenance Contract to have this problem fixed in the future. Parallel, the machine and equipment’s maintenance manuals, and electric and hydraulic circuits were also obtained from the manufacturer to have references for the future. All in all, they have brought up the lab to its normal working which will be useful for the students in the coming future. A simple, noble way to pay gratitude to the institute where this group of students studied thirty years back. Alumni friends can contribute by their time, experience, & network in many areas to shine beloved college.
